ROLE: Mental Health Transformation Lead (8B)
DURATION: 12 months
RATE: £350 – £400 per day
ROLE SUMMARY:
The commitment to work towards Parity of Esteem (PoE), placing Mental Health services on an equal footing with Physical Health services, described in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health, is supported by additional funding to 2020/21, but providers require greater support if the investment is to achieve the expected outcomes.
There is increasing investment in mental health which provides a significant opportunity to improve services for patients and transform for the provision for the benefit of the wider system.
There is currently insufficient capacity on the MH commissioning Team to oversee and manage this investment at the pace required.
There is currently a slippage on the investment programme and an additional post is needed to ensure there is a clear plan for the investment and to support the implementation of the different programme elements.
The role will include:
- Overseeing and developing plans for the MH investment
- Managing the development and implementation of the MH Business case
- Leading the development of Community MH pilots
- Supporting the ED MH solution
Providing additional capacity to the MH Commissioning Team as required
